Mr. Kenneth See Dehui

Advisor to CVCD’s Microfinance Program

Kenneth  (July 5 – December 15-2017) is currently an undergraduate at Northeastern University, pursuing a Bachelors in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance and minoring in International Affairs. He is also concurrently working towards membership at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Prior to working with CVCD, Kenneth had served in the Army Intelligence formation of the Singapore Armed Forces and held a position in the Finance National Support Team of AIESEC in the United States.

Having lived in multiple cities around the world, Kenneth is able to draw on his various international experiences, combining them with his academic background in finance and accounting, to work in the field of development finance. At CVCD, he is responsible for assessing and improving on the current practices and procedures of the microfinance program.


Ms. Ana Cris Mj

Advisor to CVCD’s Microfinance Program

Ana is an enthusiastic professional passionate to resolve today’s issues through creative and innovative business solutions. After earning a Bachelor’s in International Business concentrating in finance from Northeastern University and a degree from in International Business, as part of a dual degree program, she had the chance to collaborate in CVCD’s microfinance branch for 5 months in Cambodia. Currently, Ana works as a Corporate Affairs leader at Endeavor Mexico, where she manages programs and activities that empower and support high impact entrepreneurs.

In 2005 I became a volunteer for Australian Volunteers International with my first placement been with CVCD Cambodia. I worked very closely with CVCD for two years with my main project been the establishment of Rice Mill and Vocational Training Centre in the remote village of Seam. CVCD have adopted me as their mother and I have become CVCD International Advisor. I now visited CVCD every two years and volunteer with them for a month.





Mr. Alex Sobrado
International Microfinance Advisor

Mr. Alex Sobrado volunteered at CVCD in early 2015 to assist with the micro finance program and subsequently accepted the position of International Micro finance Advisor so that he would be able to continue to develop the program after leaving Cambodia.

Alex is based out of San Diego, California in the United States, where he works as an Equity Research Associate for a large asset management company. Alex has experience working in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and has consulted several small NGOs in Capetown, South Africa.

Alex received his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Finance and Accounting.

Ms. Caroline Pöll is a motivated young woman who has pursued the MSc Finance with Grenoble Graduate School of Business. Following her Masters thesis on Ethical Banking, she has graduated with distinction in 2014.

Caroline has gained various professional experiences due to an integrated degree program with NRW.BANK in Germany, as well as through her internships with the European Investment Bank, the German Development Institute, and the German Agency for Development Cooperation (GIZ).
Additionally, she has worked as a volunteer in various developing countries in Africa and Asia, mainly in the fields of Micro finance and Health. In her future career she would like to concentrate on the innovative and social sector of the banking business with a focus on Economic and Business Development, Risk Management, and Financial Inclusion.

Since October 2015 Caroline is working as a Trainee/Junior Analyst in the field of commercial of Banking with ING Bank in Germany.

Ms. Laura Garner

Advisor CVCD’s Program

With a degree in business and experience working in Community Development as well as Corporate Communications, Laura is passionate about positively impacting the world around her. This has led her to follow a career path in Community Engagement in Australia, where she works in Local Government, advocating for participatory policy-making. An avid traveller, Laura found herself wanting to do something more worthwhile than just being a tourist, so volunteered in 2015 with Samatapheap Khnom Organization in Phnom Penh for three months. The strength and resilience of the Khmer people is a constant inspiration for Laura, who wants to help empower and support these incredible people to be the best that they can be.

In April, 2017 Laura agreed to be a Volunteer International Fundraising Advisor (VIFA) for Cambodian Volunteers for Community Development (CVCD). As a volunteer International Fundraising Advisor for CVCD, Laura works directly with CVCD’s Executive Director and helps to research, identify and reach out to potential donors – NGOs, Government agencies, Businesses as well as Individuals donors, in Australia in order to help raise funds (financial donation and/or in kinds) to support CVCD’s programs in Cambodia.
